How should I acknowledge PDL in a scientific paper?

We suggest the following guidelines (copy-and-paste into LaTeX):

In the body of a paper:

Portions of the analysis presented here made use of the Perl Data Language\footnote{The Perl Data Language (PDL) has been developed by K. Glazebrook, J. Brinchmann, J. Cerney, C. DeForest, D. Hunt, T. Jenness, T. Lukka, R. Schwebel, and C. Soeller and can be obtained from https://pdl.perl.org} which provides a high-level numerical functionality in the Perl scripting language (Glazebrook & Economou, 1997).
